Privacy policy

What we collect, what stays on your device, and how your data is protected.

Effective date

This privacy policy is effective as of October 27, 2026 and was last updated on that date.

Who we are

Try On Jewelry ("Try On Jewelry", "we", "us" or "our") operates the website tryonjewerly.com, a virtual earring try-on studio and online jewelry shop. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. If you have any questions, contact us at vicinn11@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Google account information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a unique Google account identifier from Google. We request only the basic openid, email and profile permissions. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data.

Account and community information: the display name you choose, the template designs you publish to the community, the designs you give a thumbs-up, and whether you opted in to marketing emails.

Order information: when you buy jewelry, we collect your name, shipping address, email address, phone number, the items and sizes ordered, and the order total. Card details are entered directly into Square's secure payment form; we never see or store your full card number.

Photos and saved designs: ear photos you upload and designs you save stay in your own browser on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, and uploaded photos are never included in published community designs.

Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.

How we use Google user data

We use the name, email address and profile picture we receive from Google only to create and sign you in to your Try On Jewelry account, show your account in the app, let you publish and vote on community designs, save designs, and, only if you opt in, send you marketing emails.

Try On Jewelry's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the try-on studio; operate your account and the community; process payments, ship orders and provide customer support; send order confirmations and service messages; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Marketing emails are sent only if you tick the opt-in box when creating your account. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing us.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed: Square, to process payments; shipping carriers such as USPS, to deliver orders; and our hosting, database and authentication providers, to run the website and store account and order data. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us.

Your community display name and published template designs are visible to other visitors. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer.

Cookies and on-device storage

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage: a secure cookie that remembers you entered the site password, sign-in session storage that keeps you logged in, and local browser storage for your cart, saved designs and uploaded photos. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Order records are kept as long as needed for fulfillment, returns, accounting and tax purposes, typically up to seven years. Published designs remain until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Information stored in your browser stays until you clear it.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can delete your published designs from the community page at any time. To access, correct or delete your account information, email vicinn11@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.

You can remove Try On Jewelry's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Clearing your browser data removes saved designs, photos and your cart from your device.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls that limit each account to its own data, and payment processing through Square's PCI-compliant systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children's privacy

Try On Jewelry is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of marketing. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email vicinn11@gmail.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will provide notice on the website or by email.
